Mutant Powers:
Storm has the ability to psionically control the weather in
a limited area. These powers are linked to her emotions - a fit of
rage may result in a violent storm. She can fly by creating winds
strong enough to carry her weight. She has limited immunity to extreme
heat and cold.

History:
Storm's heritage lies with an ancient line of African priestesses,
all of which have blue eyes, 
white
hair and the ability to wield magic.
When Ororo was
young, her family's home was destroyed by a bomb, and she was trapped under
the rubble near her mother's body. This left Storm with severe claustrophobia,
which still effects her today.
Without family
and homeless, she came into the service of Achmed el-Gibar. An
apt student, Storm quickly became proficient in thievery and lock picking.
Years later,
after feeling a strong urge to move south, Ororo journeyed across the Sahara
Desert alone to the land of her ancestors. By this time her mutant
powers had surfaced and she used them to help the local tribes, who worshipped
her as a goddess.
She remained
with the tribes until she was found by Professor Xavier. He recruited
her for his new team of X-Men. Ororo took on the name Storm after
her power to control the weather. Although she has had some brief
periods away from the team, she has remained a member ever since.
